Marine Mechanic
Location: Vermillion, SD, Full Time
Salary: Competitive; negotiable based on experience
Mart Marine is looking for a Marine Mechanic to join our growing team. We are a Yamaha and Mercury Dealer, along with Lund, Excel , Godfrey and Hurricane boats.
The Marine Mechanic will need to be able to diagnose, repair, and maintain outboard motors and some inboard motors. You will work on various boat systems, ensuring all watercraft leave our shop in peak operating condition.
*Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues.
*Repair marine engines.
*Perform routine maintenance including oil changes and winterization.
*Install marine electronics, steering systems, and accessories.
*Answer customers' questions as needed.
*Occasionally conduct river tests to verify repair quality and performance.
Ability to read technical manuals. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Must have your own set of basic tools. Valid driver's license and ability to maneuver trailers. Mart Marine will provide manufacturer technician schooling.
